We're heading to PyCon US 2026. Pixeltable has been selected for Startup Row, PyCon's curated showcase of early-stage companies building with Python. We'll be at the Long Beach Convention Center May 13–19, 2026, with our booth on Startup Row Thursday through Saturday, May 14–16. We'd love to meet you there.
What Is Startup Row?#
Startup Row is PyCon US's program for early-stage companies to showcase what they're building with Python. Since 2011, over 150 companies have participated: alumni include Coalition (now valued at $1B+), Chainguard (also $1B+), and companies acquired by Snowflake, Databricks, and Confluent.
We're proud to join that lineage and represent the open-source multimodal AI infrastructure community at the largest Python conference in the world.
Why We're Excited#
Pixeltable is built in Python, for Python developers. Everything about it (the declarative table API, the computed column system, the UDF framework, the embedding indexes) is designed so that Python is the only language you need to build production multimodal AI applications.
PyCon is where we belong. The Python community has shaped how we think about developer experience, and Startup Row is the perfect place to show what's possible when you stop stitching together seven services and start writing ten lines of Python instead:

Team at PyCon#
Come say hello to:
- Alison Hill, Product: GitHub · LinkedIn
- Marcel Kornacker, Creator, Co-Founder, & CTO: GitHub · LinkedIn
Whether you're working on video intelligence, RAG pipelines, AI agents, or multimodal search, we want to hear what you're building and how we can help.
What We'll Be Showing#
- Live demos: Video intelligence pipelines, multimodal RAG, and the Starter Kit running end-to-end
- The declarative approach: How
pxt.create_table, computed columns, and embedding indexes replace S3 + Pinecone + Airflow + custom glue - AI agent infrastructure: Pixelagent for stateful agents with persistent memory and tool use, powered by Pixeltable's storage layer
- Developer tools: MCP Server for interactive Pixeltable exploration, Claude Code Skill, and llms.txt for AI-assisted development
- Multimodal data products: Browse and query public datasets at pixeltable.com/data-products
Open Source, Python-Native#
Pixeltable is fully open source under Apache 2.0. No vendor lock-in, no proprietary query language, no separate infrastructure to manage. It's a pip install and you're running.
